Tasting water events offer the opportunity to connect with and engage with local water, and to foster dialog and mutual reflection.
Further info
Drinking water is an everyday activity that usually receives little attention. However, drinking water consciously and tasting it can have a big impact. For example, it can serve as a way to get to know local waters and soils, or as a critical examination of consumption habits and water as a commodity, or as a unifying ritual with a life-giving element.
ONE BODY OF WATER offers water tastings for all these contexts – tailored to the respective setting.
We have created a range of tools for this purpose, e.g. a set of 60 water glasses with references to the spiritual dimensions of water in different cultures and their appropriation by marketing strategies of the bottled water industry (Nestlé, Danone and Co.).

ONE BODY OF WATER offers playful AQUATOR workshops for schools and for adults on systemic interrelationships and conflicts of interest concerning water. Further info.
There is a great deal to learn about water – about ecology, water bodies and the water cycle, but also about economic, social and political factors that shape our interaction with water. Our water workshops promote understanding of systemic interrelationships and conflicts of interest in connection with water.
The focus on water highlights how closely the three major challenges of our time – climate change, social inequality and the loss of biodiversity – are interlinked and can only be tackled together. But the AQUATOR workshops don't stop there; they also offer ‘inspiration from nature’ and present human initiatives and practices that focus on the shared and peaceful use of water. This makes it possible to jointly create ideas and visions for alternative futures.
The card-based discussion game AQUATOR was created in collaboration with scientists and is currently available on the topic of water, cities and climate (focus on Vienna). An edition on the topic of energy and water (focus on the Alpine region) is currently being developed.

We offer multisensory experiences to get in contact with water bodies.

How does water affect and inform us? What can we learn from water? Regina Hügli explores these questions in her artistic research.
The results of this research include interventions that allow water to be experienced in a multi-sensory way.
A selection of previous interventions:
- Water-Body Workshops: Through movement or meditation, physical and mental experiences are enabled that make water tangible within us or connect us with a specific location/body of water. The Water-Body Workshops are inspired by Regina Hügli's many years of practice in Far Eastern martial arts, especially Taijiquan.
- Sponge cake interventions: In this ‘edible landscape exploration,’ biscuit cakes flavoured with ‘soaks’ are offered for tasting, allowing participants to experience specific hydro-social spaces. Bodies of water shape and influence the climate, ecosystems and cultural spaces around the globe. Smells, tastes and cultural cooking and eating habits are reflected in recipes for so-called ‘soaks’, which enable multi-sensory encounters with hydro-social spaces.

We are happy to share our experiences, observations and reflections about water and water bodies.

"Water is life – years of working with water and water bodies have increased my understanding of systemic relationships and sharpened my awareness of the responsibility we have towards the earth, water and life. Water is central to all life forms and communities, and above all, it can teach us how to live together. I am delighted to share my experiences and observations and to contribute my wide-ranging knowledge of water from various fields to the discussion." – Regina Hügli, November 2025
